Charitable Organisations Supporting Racial Equality

The tragic death of George Floyd and the recent Black Lives Matter protests both in the UK and the US have brought issues to light of racial shamefulness around the globe leaving people shocked and horrified. It’s crucial not to hold back support for what has occurred and to keep racial inequality in our minds.

How can a person reach out and support racial equality?

How to Get Involved

There are a number of UK Charities supporting Racial Equality in the UK. Below are  the most recognised racial equality Charities people can donate to.

Top UK Racial Equality Charities

Steven Lawrence Charitable Trust – the Trust was created after Steven Lawrence was murdered in 1998 and is an educational charity which tackles inequality in all forms.

Stand against Racism and Inequality (SARI) – provides support for people who have suffered hate crime, including racist, homophobic, transphobic and/or sexist attacks.

Stop Hate UK – is an organisation committed to supporting people affected by all forms of hate crime across the UK.

Black Lives Matter – which has started a GoFundMe page to raise £500,000

UK taxpayers can increase the amount of their donation by giving though GiftAid which allows Charities to recover the basic rate of tax on a donation.

You can also donate though a payroll giving scheme, using a tax efficent method grants Charities an opportunity to benefit as much as possible from your donation.
